Dear Lord, Divine Mother, we invoke your presence and that of our deceased ancestors from the beginning of time; Avatars; Angels; Guardian Angels; Spirits of the Saints; Holy, Divine and Blessed Beings, and teachers from all lineages, to come and join us as we offer our prayers and our energies so that we can see the Sacred Teachings of Yoga as the thread that unites all religions, all spiritual endeavors, and all forms of worship in a precious garland to be offered at the lotus feet of the Lord. We offer our prayers and our energies for the enlightenment of all sentient beings; for those who are suffering pain in any of its forms; for those who have asked us to keep them in our prayers; for those members of our community who are experiencing serious tribulations at this point, and for Peace and Harmony in the World.

Divine Mother, help us so that today all our actions become an act of worship; help us to learn how to love and express our gratitude properly to God and keep our resolutions for today.

And, let’s remember Christ’s saying: ‘When two or more of you are gathered together in my name, I will be in the midst of you.’

The community expresses its intentions and petitions, and then we start Japa with the Ganesha Mantra.

CHAKRA AWAKENING

Let’s focus our attention on the first chakra, Muladhara chakra. Let’s visualize the color red: By mastering the Earth tattva, I overcome fear, anxiety, concerns about survival. I develop courage and faith in God. Let’s repeat the bija mantra, Lam.* (repeat 20 times)

Let’s focus our attention on the second chakra, Swadisthana chakra. Let’s visualize the color orange: By mastering the Water tattva, I overcome jealousy and greed. I develop charity and generosity. Let’s repeat the bija mantra, Vam. (20x)

 

Let’s focus our attention on the third chakra, Manipura chakra. Let’s visualize the color yellow: By mastering the Fire tattva, I overcome anger, pride, and arrogance. I develop patience and humility.
